WHAT STUDENTS ARE SAYING

What was your favorite part of being a TIE student?

TIE English program integrates academic excellence and culture knowledge in their English courses. This combination makes learning English in TIE enjoyable and unique. Also, as TIE student, you will get a chance to participate in several volunteering activities with UIC students nationwide. Do not miss this great opportunity!
- Fawaz Alwadani, Saudi Arabia

Has studying English at TIE helped you to achieve your goals?

Yes. I learnt a lot about English writing, which is very useful in college. When I took courses in college, we were required to write paper with different styles, such as APA, MLA, Chicago, etc. The professors wouldn’t teach you how to use these styles. Fortunately, TIE taught me how to use them.

Do you have any advice for someone who is thinking about coming to study at TIE?

TIE is a great English program. There are many excellent teachers who are happy to help you. Also, TIE often organizes interesting activities, which will make your life in the U.S. more interesting.

I AM SAAD ABDULLAH AL-QARNI. I am from Saudi Arabia. I joined the Tutorium in Intensive English (TIE) at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2017.  My experience with the TIE was fantastic. I spent a whole year with them. The Tutorium is fabulous with many distinguished professors and curricula that support the development of language learning. The Tutorium is also keen to ensure that students have the opportunity to learn the language by determining the numbers of students in the classroom and providing the opportunity for students to evaluate the curriculum and service as well. I would advise those with a desire to develop their English language or those who want to complete their university studies to join this distinguished institute to obtain the supporting of learning English with the best prices and the high quality of education.
